To represent and promote the interests of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in the Democratic Republic of Congo by strengthening diplomatic relations, protecting the welfare of Nigerian citizens, and advancing political, economic, cultural, and bilateral cooperation between both countries.

Historical Background

The Embassy of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in Kinshasa was established on November 27th, 1964, to strengthen diplomatic relations between Nigeria and the Democratic Republic of Congo. Since its establishment, the Mission has played a vital role in promoting bilateral cooperation in areas such as trade, investment, cultural exchange, and political engagement.

Both countries continue to collaborate within regional and continental frameworks, including the African Union, to advance peace, stability, and development across Africa.
